Animal Equality is a great organization that aims to educate, inform and promote a lifestyle that causes as least harm as possible to the other living beings that share our planet with us. Animal Equality was founded in Spain and they have a number of organizations across the globe. They have been working hard over the last few years to raise awareness on the exploitation of animals in all industries, including food, clothing, hunting, products etc…
Spain is famous for its siestas. Well, having a heavy lunch and spending some time relaxing before starting work again sounds like a very attractive proposition. However, having a siesta can be a very unhealthy thing if you do not have a healthy lunch. Why? Well, if you do not eat nutritious food and stuff yourself with unhealthy carbohydrates, taking rest and sleeping after the meal is only going to enhance the rate of fat accumulation. The concept of a relaxed afternoon makes sense only if you do a lot of hard work in the morning and evening.
Spain is a beautiful country with many unique things; the wine is wonderful, the food is excellent and the women are passionate. But above all, I love the mind-set of the Spaniards; they do work hard, but believe me they also know how to chill. For example, in most Spanish companies almost all employees are allowed a whole month of holiday. Well isn’t that a wonderful thing? Also, people in Spain simply live their lives to the full, without worrying too much. If you have ever visited this sunny country you will know exactly what I mean. All Spaniards are laid back, they like to enjoy themselves even when then they are at work. We are all familiar with the famous siesta habit. Put simply this is a short nap which usually takes place around noon, just after the locals have had a gorgeous meal.
And here is why I love this tradition so very much: I simply hate the afternoons, especially during the working week. There is nothing worse than being sleepy after a meal without being able to lay dawn for a quick nap. At work, I usually I find myself drowsing on my desk, trying to think and keep my eyes open. It is a real miracle that my boss hasn’t found me sleeping on my desk yet. Also, don’t you just hate the time between 1pm and 4pm when everybody in the office suddenly become edgy. And I know the reason for this, they all want to be somewhere else, and not in the office. I hate the afternoon more than I hate Monday morning. I also hate Sunday afternoon. Oh my, don’t get me started on this horrible time of the week. At least I can video chat with my sister in France, simply because this is the only time of the week she has enough spare time to chitchat with me. I also hate Sunday because you know that on the next day you have to wake up early and drag yourself to work.
Ever since domain names became cheap to purchase, and the internet became generally easier to handle – we all know someone who does graphic design, right? – sites have been popping up all over the place. Now, within minutes, you can scroll through literally hundreds of web-sites, all vying for your online business in what has become the great war of the modern era.
But there’s just one problem: the fact that it is easy to make a web-site does not mean, in turn, that it is simple to design an informative one…
Let’s say you’re starting up a small independent insurance company in Spain. You’re going to fill a gap in the market and also make a profitable business and work for yourself.
Well, in that case, you could do far worse than to head on over to Expat Insurance in Spain (if you do a search for it it should come up). The site has a myriad of horse insurance information on its home-page which tells us all the things we need to know, such as: how owners of horses have legal obligations imposed on them by the Spanish government, and what they can do to make sure that you don’t run into trouble. The firm also have their phone number on the home page, which is really handy – how often do you find yourself literally stalking that one elusive phone number that refuses to be found?
This site isn’t an exhibition of your writing skills. So follow the first and best rule: write what your customers need to know
Of course, the thing about making a web-site, like anything, is that you need to follow a few specific rules. In this case:
Forget what you want to write about horses. This site isn’t an exhibition of your writing skills. So follow the first and best rule: write what your customers need to know, and make it readable. Which leads us to the second crucial point…
Don’t use stupidly long and clever words. Yes, it may please the odd person, but aside from that it may also put a great deal more people off, too!
Use colours on your web-site that people will associate with. If your business is based in Spain, use the tones which the Spanish have been used to for generations. It’s all good and well putting your own personal stamp on it, but be sure to appeal to people and not just your own taste.
Do feel free to look at other web-sites for inspiration. It’s not stealing, is it? No, it’s just seeing what works and utilising those elements in a tried-and-trusted way.
You might think that landscaping your home will be an easy job. Just go out, pick out the types of trees that you like and plant them. Wrong. There are many things you have to take into consideration when landscaping your yard.
Most residential and commercial estate agents will advise you that you have to choose the types of ornamental trees that thrive in the environment where you live. In other words, if you live in a rainy part of More
Tires are a vital, and often pricey, expense for your car. Tires have a pretty long life, but circumstances may lead to needing to replace them before the end of their advertised life. When this happens, we might be able to replace the tire at a reduced price thanks to tire warranties.
Given this, it makes sense to familiarize yourself with the different types of warranties, as well as what would void these warranties.
Even though some instances of youth being overweight could be associated with inherited genes or hormonal fluctuations, nearly all being overweight instances could be held responsible on way of life and bad nutritional selections and are more often than not avoidable. Youths being overweight is triggered when kids consume too many unhealthy calories while not obtaining enough exercise.
Television watching is really a main element in insufficient exercise, however that isn’t the only reason television is unhealthy for our kids. More
If you select 10 horror films at random from the DVD rental store, chances are that at least one will feature a hitch-hiker being murdered, or a hitch-hiker turning out to be some kind of psycho. In reality, though, many hitch-hikers go literally years without running into any kind of trouble. In fact, most of their time is spent having friendly conversations with people who they otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance to meet.
That said, you can easily run into trouble, and reports of this occasionally happening aren’t completely unheard of. So you want to follow a few rules, OK? Such as follows:

In reality, though, many hitch-hikers go literally years without running into any kind of trouble. In fact, most of their time is spent having friendly conversations with people who they otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance to meet.
That said, you can easily run into trouble, and reports of this occasionally happening aren’t completely unheard of. So you want to follow a few rules, OK? Such as follows:
1) If someone doesn’t look right, don’t get in: always trust your instincts. If your instincts are telling you that you’re better off waiting in the pouring rain than getting in a car with someone you don’t trust, then go with it, because in the end you’ll have peace of mind and you’ll be better off.
2) Limit getting soaked by taking a good umbrella with you, one that won’t abandon you when the weather gets tough: this means you won’t have to take the first ride that comes along.
3) Set the rules from the outset: that is, make sure this is just a lift and there will be no favours / money expected. I’ve heard horror stories of hitch-hikers getting conned out of their life savings after a trip which seemed totally fine. Don’t fall into that trap.
4) Know when to make conversation and when to shut up: some people pick up hitch-hikers but don’t want to talk. Others pick up hitch-hikers for that very reason! Everyone can get it wrong when hitch-hiking, so learn to read the signs. I someone doesn’t want to talk then don’t take offence. Just enjoy the scenery instead.
5) Never spring the good-old-trap of having a mate hiding behind the bushes, and having them spring out after the driver has said they’ll give you a lift: if there’s anything that gets a driver’s back up – and I should know – then it’s this. Along with a hitch-hiker who can’t stop ranting about his or her Occupational Therapy Jobs search and how it still hasn’t proved fruitful. Learn from your mistakes, people!
A friend of mine decided to take me caravanning to the countryside in a couple of days so we were out seeking caravan insurance and when we were done I headed to my hairdresser to have my hair coloured.
Now if you are a brunette, there are various hair color options available for you that will help you to get a glamorous or soft makeover.
Choosing a hair color actually depends on your current or natural hair color. Don’t choose More
I have been thinking a lot about commuting lately. I am travelling more often to help with Dementia care for my elderly gran and I want to make the most of the time to heal and improve myself. There are a lot of different approaches to how to best use the time spent on a train or bus. I notice that some people are committed newspaper readers, while others are lap top users, ipod addicts, or paper back lovers. I More
