Siesta after unhealthy meals

Spain is famous for its siestas. Well, having a heavy lunch and spending some time relaxing before starting work again sounds like a very attractive proposition. However, having a siesta can be a very unhealthy thing if you do not have a healthy lunch. Why? Well, if you do not eat nutritious food and stuff yourself with unhealthy carbohydrates, taking rest and sleeping after the meal is only going to enhance the rate of fat accumulation. The concept of a relaxed afternoon makes sense only if you do a lot of hard work in the morning and evening.
